Tour Our Dining Room
Let’s talk dining rooms.
When my husband Matty and I found our current apartment, I decided we needed to sell/get rid of about 80% of our furniture and start new. We got a new couch, bed frame, vanity, desk, coffee table, chair, bookcase, you get it, it was basically all new. But the dining room furniture? That we kept. The apartment we live in now has its own dedicated dining space and our table fit perfectly.
A few years ago, when Matty and I were looking for our first apartment together, I found Saint Arbor on Yelp. Now out of business, Saint Arbor was a custom furniture business based in Downtown LA. I bookmarked the page and when we found our first apartment, I emailed the owner of Saint Arbor and set up a time to go to the warehouse. Once there I picked the wood, stain and finish for our dining room table and matching bench. It was the first piece of furniture I bought, ever. Those along with our dining room chairs and art all made the move and now sit happily in our dining room.
Plants fill the corners of our dining room and a newly added bar cart ties it all together. Filled with liquor, pretty bottles and of course, more plants, this was one of my favorite things to style. Every day after work I would race home with a new idea in my head. I would rearrange the bottles, pull out trays I had hidden away and style, take pictures, then restyle until eventually I was satisfied.
Here’s how it all came together.
